Where analytics is configured solely to produce aggregate statistical information for improving the website and meets all legal conditions of the statistical-purpose exception, UGC Era may rely on that exception and provide a simple way to object. Where analytics identifies, tracks, profiles or links individual visitors, or is connected to advertising activity, consent will be obtained where required.

12. Advertising, Retargeting & Conversion Measurement#

UGC Era may use advertising or conversion technologies supplied by advertising platforms, search engines or social networks. These technologies may be used to:

• measure whether an advertisement led to a visit, registration or purchase;
• build advertising audiences;
• limit or measure advertising frequency;
• retarget previous visitors;
• understand advertising campaign performance; or
• personalise advertising based on browsing behaviour.

These uses require consent where PECR applies. Advertising technologies are not treated as strictly necessary merely because they help UGC Era market its services.

13. Payment & Stripe Technologies#

Where UGC Era uses Stripe or another authorised payment provider, the provider may use cookies or comparable device technologies for secure payment processing, fraud detection, authentication, risk management and transaction integrity.

Some payment technologies may be necessary to provide the payment service you request. Other provider technologies may have separate purposes. Stripe and other payment providers may act independently for certain processing and publish their own privacy and cookie information.

UGC Era does not use this Cookie Policy to override the independent privacy terms of a payment provider.

14. Website Platform Technologies#

UGC Era's website may use website-management and page-building technologies, including WordPress and Elementor functionality. These systems may use first-party cookies or browser storage for purposes such as account sessions, security, form operation, interface preferences or editor-related functionality.

Administrative or logged-in technologies used by UGC Era staff may differ from those presented to ordinary website visitors.

If you create a Brand or Creator account, additional session, authentication and security technologies may be used to keep you signed in, protect your account, remember essential marketplace state and prevent abuse.

Where these technologies are essential to an account feature you request, they may fall within the strictly necessary exception. Any additional analytics or marketing use of account activity will be treated separately.

16. UGC Era AI & Chat Technologies#

UGC Era's AI assistant or chat interface may use first-party browser storage, session information or other technologies to maintain a conversation session, remember whether the chat has been opened, route support requests, prevent abuse and preserve necessary interface state.

Where AI processing is performed server-side through an API, the AI provider does not necessarily place a cookie directly on your device. However, the UGC Era chat interface itself may still use browser storage or other technologies. Any non-essential analytics or advertising technology connected to the chat will be subject to the relevant consent rules.

17. Embedded Content & Social Media#

Pages may contain embedded videos, social-media content or other third-party widgets. A third party may attempt to set or read cookies or other device identifiers when its content loads.

Where the third-party technology is non-essential and requires consent, UGC Era should prevent it from loading until the required choice has been made. Once third-party content is activated, the relevant provider may process information under its own privacy terms.

18. First-Party & Third-Party Technologies#

First-party technologies are generally set by ugcera.com itself. Third-party technologies are set or accessed by another domain or service integrated with UGC Era.

The distinction does not by itself decide whether consent is required. The legal treatment depends on the purpose, the information being stored or accessed and whether a statutory exception applies.

19. Session & Persistent Cookies#

A session cookie usually expires when you close your browser. A persistent cookie remains for a specified period or until you delete it.

UGC Era aims to keep retention periods proportionate to each purpose and will not deliberately retain device identifiers longer than reasonably necessary for the relevant function.

20. Current Cookie & Technology Register#

The exact cookie names, providers and expiry periods can change when UGC Era updates its website, security tools, payment systems, marketplace functions, analytics or marketing integrations.

UGC Era should review the live cookie register periodically and after material website or plugin changes. A technology must not be classified as “necessary” merely to avoid requesting consent.

Where consent is required, our consent mechanism should give users a meaningful choice. This normally includes:

Browser signals do not necessarily replace consent requirements under UK PECR where prior consent is specifically required.

A cookie identifier, IP address, account identifier, device information or browsing history may constitute personal data where it relates to an identified or identifiable individual.

Where personal data is processed through storage and access technologies, our Privacy Policy explains the relevant purposes, lawful bases, sharing, retention, international transfers and your data-protection rights.

26. International Transfers#

Some technology providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where personal data is transferred internationally, UGC Era will use an appropriate legal transfer mechanism where required, as described in our Privacy Policy.

The fact that a provider operates internationally does not remove the need to comply with PECR before placing or accessing technology on a UK user's device.

27. Children#

UGC Era's standard commercial services are intended for adults. We do not intentionally use advertising cookies to profile children in circumstances prohibited by law.

If UGC Era introduces a service specifically likely to be accessed by children, additional age-appropriate privacy safeguards may be required.

28. Security & Fraud Prevention#

UGC Era may use security technologies to detect malicious traffic, protect accounts, prevent automated abuse, identify suspicious payment activity and maintain service integrity.

Where a security technology is genuinely essential to provide the requested service securely, it may qualify as strictly necessary. Security labels will not be used as a pretext for unrelated analytics, advertising or profiling.

29. Changes to Providers & Technologies#

We may add, remove or replace technology providers as UGC Era develops. Where a change introduces a new non-essential purpose, new third party or materially different processing requiring consent, the relevant technology should not be activated until the required transparency and consent steps have been completed.

30. Cookie Audits & Governance#

UGC Era should periodically review the technologies operating on the website, including after significant plugin, advertising, analytics, checkout or marketplace changes.

Where practical, those reviews should assess:

• what technology is present;
• who provides it;
• what information it stores or accesses;
• its exact purpose;
• whether consent or an exception is relied upon;
• retention duration;
• whether third parties receive information; and
• whether the consent mechanism actually blocks technologies when it should.
